Behaviour

Rules and routines help us to keep children safe and create purposeful learning environments.

We have additional information regarding behaviour and expectations in our Behaviour and Parent Behaviour policies, which can be found here. However, these policies support us with the following:

  • If you are concerned about your own or another child’s behaviour, please let a member of staff know.
  • Our staff will talk to you if they have concerns about your child’s behaviour, so we can support and use consistent strategies at school, as well as home.
  • Our young children are a 'work in progress' and are still learning social norms such as tolerance, patience and negotiation.
  • Parents and adults accessing the school site are expected to behave as role models for our children:
  • Please talk politely to others including other parents and members of staff
  • Talk to a member of staff if you have a question or a concern - refrain from using social media to communicate concerns
  • School is a mobile phone free zone - collect children with a smile and talk to them about their day
  • Vaping/smoking is not permitted on the school grounds
  • No swearing/shouting please

Our School and Classroom Rules

• Be kind (with your hands and words)

• Be respectful (to people and things)

• Aim high (and do your best)

We use our animals, shown here, which are linked to learning behaviours including persistence, teamwork, independence, respect and aiming high.
