Each year the government provides additional funding to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.

This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on improving the provision of PE and sport in schools.

Our strategy is to use sports funding money to increase the levels of participation in our children and ensure that they receive good quality teaching within our PE curriculum. We allocate funding to introduce children to a wide range of sports and activities, including giving opportunities to disadvantaged children that they may not have otherwise had access to.
