Foundation subjects including Science, Computing, Art, Design & Technology, Geography and History are taught through half-termly topics. These topics start with a big question to help engage and motivate, but also to remind us of why the learning is important. Teachers use both a display and a virtual representation of a ‘learning journey’, to support children’s understanding of the links between subjects and previous learning. This represents the sequential nature of each subject individually and how each skill and piece of knowledge links to help them to create a beautiful piece of work, as a result.
