Religious Education

Using the Christian calendar, big questions, stories and visits; we aim to broaden the children’s experiences of faith by introducing them to our multi-faith world, to encourage the celebration and acceptance of difference and others.

We have written and reviewed our own RE scheme of work, which focuses on discussion whilst also providing children with opportunities to look at real items and show their understanding of the curriculum in different ways - written, verbal and artistic.

Children within our Early Years Foundation Stage will cover a variety of religions linking them to their own experiences and others. They will be thinking about special people, Christmas, celebrations, Easter, stories and special places. During Key Stage 1,our children have the opportunity to expand and enquire on wider themes of religion and beliefs.
